The Metallica Team chose Pro-Ject as their collaborative partner to create a Metallica-themed record player — featuring the Ninja Star design by James Hetfield — continuing the brand’s proud tradition of collaborating with artists.

Pro-Ject’s design team treated the surface of the new turntable with a mirror-finished metal logo contour to give the player its distinctive look, a bold aesthetic that resonates with the iconic rock band. The S-shaped tonearm comes with a pre-installed Pick it S2 C integrated cartridge & headshell but allows for easy cartridge swapping via the detachable assembly. Tracking force, anti-skating and VTA are fully adjustable for fine-tuning and position the Metallica Limited Edition Turntable as a true audiophile investment.

Heavy glass platter. The glass platter is a heavy, zero-resonance design. The high mass of the platter produces the tightest and most accurate playback speeds and at the same time allows you to see the stunning turntable and all of its high-quality parts and incredible build quality, avoiding the flaws of plastic or lightweight construction.

Aluminum sub-platter, pulley, and feet. The aluminium sub platter is usually one of our most sought after upgrade parts, but comes standard on the Metallica Limited Edition Turntable. The diamond cut sub-platter and pulley can be machined to much improved and higher tolerances. The aluminum sub-platter adds more mass to the entire platter and drive system, resulting in additional damping of noise and unwanted resonances. The improved tolerances during production will increase overall speed accuracy. The additional mass and super accurate pulley and sub platter diameters improve short term speed stability, or also called Wow & Flutter.The Metallica turntable uses height adjustable heavy-duty metal feet to ensure a level positioning on every surface, because a perfectly level turntable is essential for the Damage, Inc.

Hardwired to stable speeds. In typical Pro-Ject tradition, the speed is electronically precision controlled and guarantees the most accurate and stable speeds. Change between speeds easily with the toggle switch. With the sup-plied round belt for 78 rpm, you can also listen to your shellac records.

S-shaped tonearm. The 8.6“ S-shape aluminium tonearm comes with a detachable SME headshell. The SME headshell allows you to swap out cartridges fast and easily. The tonearm bearing and base are machined entirely out of aluminium. You won‘t find any plastic components in these critical parts.
