The Pro-Ject Signature 12 is a high-end turntable that is part of the Signature series by Pro-Ject Audio Systems. It is a no-compromise audiophile masterpiece that employs opposing-magnetic suspension of the plinth and platter, a high-mass aluminum sub-chassis over an MDF plinth filled with steel pellets, a high-mass TPE-damped record platter with integrated vinyl top and coupling record puck driven by a sophisticated 3-belt flywheel system and record puck as well as the fully adjustable 12" Signature tonearm with replaceable headshell. The Signature 12 turntable is Pro-Ject’s statement to the high-end community and takes 3 months to build. It employs a sophisticated approach by combining the principles of mass-loading and magnetic decoupling. The main plinth supports a two-motor belt-driven flywheel system that is decoupled from but drives the high-mass TPE-damped platter. The sub-chassis is made of machined aluminum and sits beneath the platter. It’s responsible for supporting the platter’s magnetic suspension. The advanced single-pivot 12" tonearm can accommodate virtually any cartridge due to its wide range of adjustment capabilities and an array of counterweights (included).
